Some of my most precious memories of growing up in Seattle's U-District at 5717 16th Ave. N.E. were walking into the UW HOMECOMING street dance scene and listening to THE WAILERS from Tacoma play LOUIE LOUIE. 

And over at the next free beer block party it was PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS from Boise, Idaho playing the same song.

Then it was over to PIZZA PETE'S were all five of us virgins could come up with enough money to order a large pizza with black olives and green peppers.
